Can I take photos with the camera on my iPhone/iPod Touch?
Yes, you can use the built-in camera to take photos in My Body Metrics. You can also use a photo from your phone’s photo library or take a photo with the camera on another iPhone, iPad, or Mac using My Body Metrics Remote Cam.
How do I set my goal weight?
You can set your goal weight by tapping the Settings button on the main screen and then tapping Goal Weight in the Settings List. Setting the goal weight to zero is the equivalent of not having a goal weight.
How do I setup My Body Metrics for left handed or right handed orientation?
Tap the Settings button and then select either Right or Left for Hand Preference in the Settings List.
What are the height, gender, and date of birth settings used for?
Your height is used in conjunction with your weight to calculate your body mass index (BMI).
How do I add a passcode to My Body Metrics?
To add a passcode, tap the Settings button. Next, locate the Passcode option in the Settings List and slide the switch to the right. You will be asked to enter your passcode twice to set and verify your passcode. When passcode protection is enabled, you will need to enter your passcode (or use Face ID or Touch ID, if enabled) every time you use My Body Metrics.
I forgot my passcode. Can you recover it for me?
Unfortunately there is no way we can recover, reset, or disable your passcode if you forget it so please choose one you know you will remember.
Are my weight, photos, or settings information stored outside of My Body Metrics or shared with anyone else?
All of the information you enter into My Body Metrics, your weight entries, photos, and settings (gender, height, date of birth, etc), is stored on your mobile device. If you enable iCloud syncing, this data will also be synced to iCloud. If you backup your device to iTunes or iCloud, My Body Metrics’s data will be backed up with the rest of your device’s data to your computer or iCloud, depending on how you backup. We (Binary Formations) never have access to any of your My Body Metrics data.

Do I have to use My Body Metrics Remote Cam to take photos with My Body Metrics?
No. You can take photos in My Body Metrics using the built-in camera on your mobile device. You can also add existing photos from the photo library.
Do I need a special app to use the Remote Cam feature and where can I get it?
If you are using another iPhone or iPad as your Remote Cam, you do not need to download anything else, simply tap the background in the main view and then tap “Use as Remote Cam”. If you wish to use your Mac as a Remote Cam, you will need to download and install the My Body Metrics Remote Cam application from the Mac App Store. The My Body Metrics Remote Cam app is free and you can download it here.
Do I need anything special to use My Body Metrics Remote Cam?
You need another iPhone, iPad, or a Mac with a WiFi network that supports Universal Plug and Play (UPnP). All devices must be on the same WiFi network.
When I tap the Remote Cam option in My Body Metrics, nothing happens. How do I get it to connect?
It may take a few seconds for My Body Metrics to establish the connection. If you are running the My Body Metrics Remote Cam app on your Mac and have a firewall enabled, you may need to give permission for the Remote Cam app to listen for and accept incoming connections.
